Please update your resume to include your Launch internship and any other recent roles, skills gained, etc. You can also update your availability to indicate whether you are actively looking for a job or only looking to network. Once you’re done, hit publish and your profile will be viewable by companies.
After you publish your profile, check your email daily for connection requests. If you receive a connection request, let us know within 48 hours if you're interested in the company. If you're interested, we will connect you with the company via email. If not, we will let the company know on your behalf.
Insider Tip: Check your inbox frequently! Quick email response rates usually lead to a higher likelihood of receiving an offer. We understand that the unexpected happens and you might not be able to respond right away. With that said, if you continuously respond later than 48 hours we may suspend your access to the Talent Board.
After connecting over email, set up a time to interview with the company. Follow the company’s process for interviewing. If an offer is extended, let our team know!
If you don’t receive or accept an offer, simply leave your availability set to “Available Now” to find new roles.
No. The Talent Board is completely free for candidates (i.e., students and recent alumni).
No, you are not required to accept a job offer that you receive from a company that you connect with through the Talent Board. We hope that you will be excited about the role(s) that you find on the Talent Board, but you should only accept a role that you are genuinely interested in.
“Available Now” indicates that you’re actively searching for a job or internship role. “Open to Network” indicates that you’re looking to expand your network but are not currently looking for a job or internship role.
All companies are vetted by our team. We typically work with small to midsize companies, high-growth startups, and nonprofit organizations in a wide variety of industries.
No. Because of our unique model, companies will reach out to you instead of you applying roles directly.
The Talent Board is unique in that it flips the hiring script, putting candidates at the center and allowing companies to find you. Hiring partners can search for candidates based on any key criteria (e.g., skills, major, location, etc.). If they think you’re a good fit for their role, they will reach out to you. We think this model is better because you won’t waste time applying to countless online job postings, only to hear back from a few of them.
Companies also like this model because it enables them to find the elusive needle in a haystack. The average company receives 250 applications per job posting, which means they have to do a lot of work to find the right people. The Talent Board features top-notch candidates (that’s you) that have the Forge stamp of approval - admitted to Launch with an 8% acceptance rate, completed 160+ hours of skills training, and finished a 9-week internship.
